Lots of Scraps

The new Stampin’ Up! catalog will be available earlier this year, starting in May. I received my copy in the mail this past week and have spent many evenings pouring over the pages and making a long wish list. Always such a fun time to shop for new toys.

That said, the new catalog means that I will have a lot of my inventory retiring. Many of you know that I am a bit of a paper-hoarder. I’m trying to get better, but it’s just so hard. So, for my last Facebook Live, I thought I’d come up with some options to use up scraps of designer series paper to start paring down my supply.

I came up with 4 simple ideas; the first actually ends up being 2 cards. Click here to view the Facebook Live for all these cards. I took 1/2″ strips of the Forever Fern paper and adhered them to the front of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Once complete, I used a circle die from the Stitched Framelit dies to cut a circle out of the finished piece to create another card. I finished both cards off with the same sentiment framed by a piece of Pretty Peacock paper.

The other 3 cards I made were also with scraps of paper. I used the sunburst technique for one of the cards because the scraps of paper I was using were a bit bigger (2″ x 5 1/2″ scraps cut diagonally). If you want more information on this technique, please let me know.

I haven’t received my pre-order from the new catalog yet, but as soon as I do, I will do some stamping and post some pictures. For those of you who ave ordered from me before, I will have a free catalog for you (I missed the mailing selection, so you won’t get one in the mail). Ill get it to you as soon as I can.

If you want to place an order of any retired items click on the link to my online store on the right and be sure to use the April Host code of S66FJXFZ when you place your order.

As always, let me know if you have any questions about the cards above or Stampin’ Up! product. Thanks for stopping by – Happy Stamping!
