It’s the last day of the 2018 Stampin’ Up! OnStage event <sad face>, but it has been so much fun to be in Orlando for (first) our week-long family vacation, then (second) a 3-day event with Kathleen and 6,000+ of my best stamping friends.
I got to go on stage today along with about 190 other gals who attended OnStage (there were 549 worldwide who hit the 15-year mark since March) to celebrate our 15th year as Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. Hard to believe it’s been that long!
I made it across without tripping or doing anything else foolish. Thanks to my upline, Kathleen, for taking this picture. Next time I want to be up there for a title advancement or other achievement – I’ve got some big goals that I’ve got to start working on!
I’ll be sharing some of the swaps I got when I get home, so stay tuned.
It’s a little dark but there are 6000+ ladies (and a few men) here who love to do what I do and share their creativity through stamping! It’s quite a thing to see all these folks together in one room – and loud, too!
So fun to get so many new ideas and tools. Hopefully I can remember them all and pass them on to everybody when I get home. There’s more activities tonight – can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!
Florida in November – I am NOT missing the cold and snow back home. We had a wonderful family vacation before convention started today. Seven whole days with just the 5 of us, I wouldn’t trade it for anything; lots of giggling, teasing, park-hopping, sunshine and eating, eating, eating. We had our fill of Harry Potter, of course, at both parks and experienced the new Avatar ride at Animal Kingdom’s Pandora site. Best. Ride. Ever. (Sorry Harry). So sad to see them go yesterday, it was a bit lonely for the few hours I was alone.
But now its time for Stampin’ Up! Convention 2018!! Kathleen Hopperstad, my upline, got here last night and the event started bright and early this morning. Not a great picture below – you can’t really see the stage, but we are really close and had a great view of the day’s activities.
Hard to believe it’s the 30th anniversary and I’ve been around for 15 of those – how time flies!! I’ll post more tomorrow, I just wanted to get some of my photos posted. Stay tuned!!
…And as always, Happy Stamping!
Well, actually there are a few new cool things coming up! For the month of July, Stampin’ Up! has announced Bonus Days; for every $50 you spend from July 7 through July 31 (before shipping and tax), you will get a $5 Bonus Days coupon that you can use on anything in the catalog from August 2 through 31, 2016! What a great opportunity to get all of those new toys on your wish list! Click HERE for more information about the Bonus Days promotion.
I’m also really excited to announce that Stampin’ Up! will be offering an exclusive bundle that will be available only in the month of August – and yes! you can use the Bonus Days coupons that you earned for your July purchases toward your purchase of this great bundle! Thoughtful Branches includes a stamp set and coordinating thinlits dies. See below for a sneak peek at a couple of samples. I will be having a class on August 20th featuring this exclusive set – for $60 you can get the stamp set, thinlits dies and you will make 5 cards to give you a head start on learning how to use this beautiful set. I will post more on the class later.
Please go to my Stampin’ Up! website HERE for more information about either of these opportunities or to place an order. As always, you can call me if you have questions or to place your order – 612-718-9392.
Mom’s Obsession, as my kids call it. I decided to lay out the haul from the big order I received in the mail yesterday – It’s like Christmas!!! I’ve had a chance to play with a couple of the things (like the card in the post below), but I can’t wait to sit down and dig into everything. Hopefully I’ll be posting lots of new cards and other dimensional items in the next week.
Also just a reminder I have the Cottage Greetings Card kit class on Saturday, August 29th from 1:00 – 4:00. In this class you will make all 15 cards from this darling card kit (pictured above). The kit makes 5 each of 3 designs and contains all the materials needed. Each card measures 5” x 5” when finished and includes the envelopes with silver liners. You will get your own kit and I will supply the stamps, ink and adhesive. Cost is $25. Let me know by August 20th if you are interested in attending so I can order your kit.
Thanks for stopping by – Happy Stamping!!!
Welcome to my brand new website!!! I am so excited to have this new venue to share everything I have learned in my 11 years as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and provide all my stamping friends with inspirational ideas as well as memorable personal service. I’d love for you to take a look around the site – there are already a number of posts that were brought over from my Tumblr blog, but my plan is to add new card ideas, challenges, newsletters, class ideas and videos weekly.
Many of you know that this has been a challenging year so far and I had to take a break from my Stampin’ Up! business. Although I have had to focus on other things and I wasn’t feeling particularly inspired, I have missed my stamping friends greatly. Recently, the summer beauty of my garden, some long-needed clean-up activity in my craft room and participating remotely in the 2015 Stampin’ Up! convention has provided me with some welcome stamping inspiration. I am happy to say that I am slowly getting back into posting on my blog, focusing on getting this site launched, as well as – finally – hosting classes and events.
So, take a peek…I hope you find your own inspiration and I look forward to stamping with you soon!
